My right foot plantar fascia began hurting in April due to a long walk in the wrong shoe. Took rest, did stretches and all sorts but it continued to hurt. Month of August – still no improvement.

I do half marathons and also hike about 40-60km through mountains every year. This year, I am soon to begin training for the Mt. Everest base camp, so was very concerned with my right foot hurting even if I jogged 2km. The worst time was the mornings, waking up with a sore heel. Finally, last week of August, I consulted my Physio, who told me there really was no cure for it, besides lots of rest, some exercises and taking anti-inflammatories if necessary. Two weeks later, not much improvement.

Then it occurred to me why not try my trusted Omrub, that I have been using while hiking for the past six years. Omrub has helped prevent sore knees dozens of times during my mountain treks.

I was back to my friend’s horse farm on Sundays, walking about 7km while helping with 26 horses there – gumboots banned for me of course, so I wear strong Nike shoes with arch support on the farm too….haha. From the fourth week on, I woke up with both feet feeling fine and all soreness from the right heel vanished.
